I love deserts, and on Christmas day I had my fair share of them. I thought maybe you guys likes deserts, and thought I should share them. I know this is really random but, this is a place for me to post whatever I want so, I hope you guys enjoy these deserts. I didn't put the recipes because one my mom got as a present, and the other my grandma made, so I only made one. Anyways, if you guys want to know how to make any of them, just ask and I will try to post (:
1) Caramel Cups
2) German Pie
3) Kopenhagen Chocotone
I would also like to say that I'm going down the shore tomorrow and don't know if I'm going to be able to post from there, but I will try! (:
I think that everyone is extremely aware of global warming and climate change. I've been worried about this topic for as long as I could remember. I think that educating ourselves about the subject is extremely important, so we can make conscious decisions to change, because our planet is dying, fast. We all need to unite as a population to conquer this because I do believe it is reversible, but not for long.
The first movie I watched about the topic of climate change was Al Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth"and like many others, became very paranoid about our earth. Then I watched "Cowspiracy", and that is when I went insane. I had already been vegetarian for about a month, but after that movie I was sure I was doing the right thing. I also quit eating any dairy products directly (besides cheese), and am slowly making changes into a vegan diet.
Recently, two of my favorite youtubers Jack and Finn Harries, made a video about climate change, which was what inspired this post. My objective with this post is to encourage everyone reading to educate themselves and make a lifestyle change, which ever one suits you better. The world is dying, and are dying with it.
Recently I watched one of my favorite youtuber, Ingrid Nilson's, new video about your period. She talked a lot about being comfortable with your period, and also donated little mini higene kits to women in need which I thought was wonderful. As someone who is very comfortable with my period, I thought I should talk about my experience.
I got my first period when I was almost 11 years old, I believe it was do to a lot of stress due to my near move back to Brazil. I was the first of all my friends, so I would always get extremely embarrassed and scared to talk about it, but I forgot that it was completely normal. I actually got it at a party (how convenient), so I just asked for a pad and everything was ok,
I think my worst period horror story was recently, this October, I travelled to New Jersey to visit some friends. I wasn't expecting my period so only brought three pads (terrible idea). I got it on the last day, while i was going to the airport, So I put in a day pad and since I had two flights that day, I thought I should change after my first flight. Long story short, it got everywhere, literally everywhere, underwear, pants, plane seat, car seat, and everywhere else. It was terrible, so always bring loads of pads everywhere.
Recently I found out I have an extremly heavy flow on my period so have started taking birth control, which is working on regulating my period, so I don't have such a waste of iron (since I am vegetarian and this iron is even harder to consume), I only started taking it this month so so far I don't have much to say.
I encourage everyone to speak out about their period since it is such a natural and normal thing that is often shamed upon.

I'm trying this new thing where I write five good things that happened to me that day, and I'm hoping it will make me more grateful each and everyday. I feel like I, and many other people take a lot for granted, and I never want to do that because I'm so gifted and I know that.
I had an amazing yoga teacher a while back and she said she did this everyday and it made her so much more connected to herself, and suggested we all did it. I never ended up following it, but now I'm really excited to do so.
I will update you guys every once in a while so you guys know how its going, since I've only started like two days ago.
I started showing interest in music from a young age. I remember I was about 5 when I decided to learn how to play the keyboard, so I bought one and my parents put me in lessons, this was when we were in Japan. We soon moved but I continued lessons for maybe another year, in the US I didn't have a very nice teacher. She was old and in my mind "boring", so I quit. A lot of people in my school were in band, so I tried to play the recorder for a while aswell, but was never super interested.
When I moved back to Brazil, I had the brilliant idea do buy an acoustic guitar, I named her Naomi. My parents again put me in lessons and I found myself. I absolutely love playing the guitar and can't imagine now my life without it. I've been having lessons for about 4 years now, and it is often my escape.
I highly recommend people to try and play an instrument because it is a very easy "escape" code. I often find myself quite lost in the music, and for anyone who says it's too hard, obviously has not tried. My dad often tells me that everything is hard until you practice, which is very true.
My favorite songs to play on the guitar are:
Wonderwall - Oasis
Here Without You - Two Doors Down
Stop Crying Your Heart Out - Oasis
Yellow - Coldplay
You Know I'm No Good - Amy Winehouse
Come As You Are - Nirvana
Naive - The Kooks
Iris - Goo Goo Dolls
Creep - Radiohead
Like A Stone - Audioslave
Stand By Me - Oasis
Sitting Waiting Wishing - Jack Johnson
Otherside - Red Hot Chili Peppers
Lugar Ao Sol - Charlie Brown Jr
If you guys have any suggestions of songs you like to play, please leave a comment, and let me know if you try out a new instrument. (:
November has been insane! I have been doing so mucchhh, which is why I haven't been posting as much. Expect plenty of new posts now, ok? But, hey, let's give a warm welcome to December! I can't believe that 2015 is almost over, like where did this year go? Anyways, hey December, I bet you'll be amazing.
Ok, so I know! It's early, I know! But, my mom told me to start building it and since last year I did it on my summer vacation and the vibe was really good, and it gave me some memories, so I decided to do it. I don't know what it is about building a christmas tree that just makes me happy, all I know is that I love love love doing it and I'm so glad I did.
This isn't all of the christmas decoration around my house so I might to a post on some DIY decoration or something, how would you guys like that? I love Christmas so much and I'm already so excited!
Also guys, Im almost on summer break! Expect some exciting posts coming your way! I'm so happy I only have like a week left of school. (:
I did this last month, and had a lot of fun so I thought I would do it this month too. So, here are some movies I'm excited for coming out this month (:
Here in Brazil, Halloween isn't really a big deal, so we don't really dress up or have halloween parties, that's mostly for little ones. But, I though I should give you guys some inspiration to get in the mood (:
So, my name is Leticia and that is derived from the term "Laetitia" which means happiness and joy. I'm so happy that is my name. For a very long time, I have hated my name because it can't really be pronounced in any other language other than Portuguese,Spanish, Italian, and sort of French. (btw, did you know that Napoleons moms name was Letizia? and Miley Cyrus's mom is called Letitia ahahah) Recently I have learned to love my name, because it honestly does describe me a lot.
I am a generally very happy person, I love life and I believe Im so incredibly gifted that being upset would be a waste. Nobody can be 100% happy every single day, but I often find myself laughing and smiling way more than I see myself frowning or crying. I wake up everyday so grateful to be alive, and so eager to start the day. I mean, I obviously get my energy and joy from somewhere, and some people believe thats wrong and it should come from within, but I believe that we should do whatever works for you.
always cheesin'
I'm not really sure where I'm going with this post, but I haven't posted on here in a while, and I decided to talk about something that makes me happy, happiness. I hope this somehow inspired you to be happier, and I also hope to make a post in the future about where I get my energy from.
Basically, my name means happiness and I'm very happy.
I've recently got really into Netflix, and I watched Cowspiracy on Saturday, and guys, guys, guys. You all need to watch it, the amount of information that was displayed in that documentary was beautiful, along with the cinematography and just overall everything. I really really enjoyed it, and highly recommend it.
It is a movie about the immediate cause of global warming, deforestation, water use and so much more. It is filmed in a documentary format, and gives you piles of information about how to change the environmental stage we are in.
I've been vegetarian for a little over a month now, and I'm so glad I made that change, and recently I've been changing my diet into being more vegan because the benefits are endless. I'm not here to be pushy, because I'm well aware that it is a huge life change, so the most I can do is encourage you guys to educate yourselves. Education is the most powerful weapon.
Next thing is, I'm travelling to the USA tomorrow so I'm gonna be a bit MIA for a while, let me know what kind of posts you all want to see when I come back. (:
I also got really into yoga last month, and you all need to try it too because it' amazing and literally makes me feel sososososo good.
Besides that I just feel really happy, and wow life is great.
One thing I really enjoy is greek mythology, and another thing I'm really passionate about it love, because I believe that it can heal anything. There are four meanings for the world love in greek, and I know that most people don't know that, so today I'm gonna share those four meanings.
1) Eros
This one represents more of a sexual love. Eros is the name of the greek god of fertility and he represented the idea of sexual passion. For the greek, this type of love was a mad love, and sort of losing control, which is why it was feared by them. Now-a-days, this love is really common and not feared on much.
Greek god: Eros
2) Philia
This type of love represents friendship. This would be the love you have for your friends, or someone very close to you. Philia could be represented by loyalty or even respect for someone you love.
3) Agape
Agape represents love for all, a sort of charity love. This was translated for all people, for family, friends, and even strangers. It is used on more of an everyday basis. 4) Storge
This love is more for a family love, the kind of love you have for your parents and they have for you or the kind of love you have for your pets. Storge has a more united meaning, you probably storge someone who you have constant direct contact.
Ok, so I just finished reading the book "Eleanor & Park" by Rainbow Rowell, and holy shit. I know I was supposed to finish this book in like July because I started it like forever ago, but I'm so incredibly busy with school that I haven't been able to get through it, but I'm pretty sure I read like 150 pages in like two days ok. I finished the book like two minutes ago and I don't even know what I'm feeling honestly. Every emotion possible is what I'm feeling. Like I'm upset, but happy, mad, but scared, and all I could say is just holy shit.
This book narrates a story about two teens called Eleanor and Park who fall in love. But, this is not your typical sappy romantic, like I can't even describe it and I don't want to give it away but just wow. I wish you guys could see what I look like because I'm a mess, a legit mess.
I really want to jump into another book because I know that next month and November I'm going to be super busy because of school and all, but I genuinely can't get over that book, I just can't. I feel like I need sometime to put myself back together. I really just want to be Park's friend right now, and really want to chat with Eleanor and holy shit.
I think that what I'm trying to say is if your in the mood for a contemporary, you really need to read this, like wow. Rainbow Rowell's writing style is so on point holy shit. Like the last 10-ish pages were insane, I legit felt in the novel, like I was a little bug just watching everything happen and oh my gosh I don't know how to feel.
Sorry for this really random posts about my feelings on this book, but just wow.
I think the first thing you should know before you start reading this most is that feminism means equality. The english definition for the world feminism is:
Ok, now I would like to state why everyone should be a feminist: 1) Everyone should be a feminist because I, a 15-year-old girl who lives in a very safe and good neighborhood in São Paulo, Brazil can't walk 200 meters to a gym on my street without having a car pass by and honk at me. IT IS NOT A COMPLIMENT.
2) Everyone should be a feminist because, contrary to popular belief, feminism does not want to belittle men, in fact we want to raise both sexes to a point where we are both equal.
3) Everyone should be a feminist because regardless of many attempts, there is nothing in the American Constitution that guarantees the same rights to men and women.
4) Everyone should be a feminist because when a group of 5 men were asked if they identify as feminists, only 1 said they did. When the proper definition was given, the number raised to 3. So, only 3 out of 5 men believe both sexes should have equal rights?
5) Everyone should be a feminist because american women working in the military are more likely to be raped by a comrad then killed by an enemy. (Here's where to help: http://servicewomen.org/mission/)
6) Everyone should be a feminist because women around the world aged 11-44 are more likely to be raped and suffer domestic abuse than to be diagnosed with cancer.
7) Everyone should be a feminist because women get payed 18.2% less than men in an full-time weekly wage job.
8) Everyone should be a feminist because out of 585 peace agreements made from 1990-2010, only 92 had any reference to women.
9) Everyone should be a feminist because a study in New Delhi, India found that 66% of women had experienced sexual harassment between 2 and 5 times in the past year.
Down below are a list of things you can do to get involved to bring gender equality:
I recently got really into like indie rock-ish tunes, so I created a playlist on my spotify and thought I should share it with you guys. I can't link it below, but my username is: @leticiadifiore and the name of the playlist is: Way Too Cool. While you are over there you should totally check my other playlist's out, but I just wanted to specially share this one, because I've really been enjoying it recently.
