My Favorite Albums

Hii!

I've never met a person that genuinely doesn't like any type of music, and I of course am no exception. I love music and almost all types of it really! I would like to start making playlist to share on here with you guys, but I'm having a hard time with school so haven't had much time to think about it, but it will be coming. I then decided that I should just share my favorite albums instead for the time being.

1) Konk - The Kook

I love The Kooks and my favorite song of all time is by them (Naive), even though it's not on this album. I do enjoy all of their music but this album in particular is absolutely smashing. I love every song and only end up skipping max two songs. It came out in April 2008 and even though I only heard of it about 5 years later, it is amazing and will always land in my favorites albums.

My favorite songs on the album include: Gap, Sway, Down to the Market, and Tick of Time.

2) Sadnecessary - Milky Chance

This was the first album ever released by Milky Chance, but holy shit is it amazing. I'm in love with Clemes Rehbein's voice, and the beats are always so creative! They are a German band and I've never listened to any other german bands but they got me interested in some. This album came out in May 2013 and I'm pretty sure I only listened to it a year later when I heard one song (Flashed Junk Mind) on Catfish.

My favorite songs on the album are: Stunner, Running, Sweet Sun, and Indigo.

3) XX - The XX

This band I was introduced by my brother, when a friend of his gave him a CD of them. I remember being in love and looking up all their songs, and this album definitely reminds me of summer. This album is super calm and not for someone who likes only upbeat music, the lyrics though are absolutely stunning. This album came out in August of 2009 and of course I only heard if 4 years later in 2013.

My favorite songson the album: VCR, Crystalised, Islands, and Heart Skipped a Beat. (surprisingly the first couple songs on the album)

Movies I'm Excited For

Hellooo :)

I really really like movies, ever since I was little movies have always been one of my favorite things to do. I remember I would write down the times a movie was going to go on TV or a new movie was gonna air on Disney. I love going to the movies and even though I don't go as I often as I should, I still really enjoy movies. So I'm starting this little series on Eliberar called "Movies I'm Excited For".

Sorry that "We Are Your Friends" didn't have a poster yet!

1) Me, Earl and the Dying Girl

This is a book turned into a movie actually. I love youtube and one of the people I watched was "padfootandprongs07" AKA Raeleen from Canada. She would always rave about this book and unfortunately I never got a chance to read it, but I recently found out the movie is coming out this June, which I'm super excited for.

This movie tells the story of an awkward senior called Greg that falls in love with a friend of his called Rachel who has been recently diagnosed with leukemia. Greg and his best friend Earl also happen to make horrible films, they of course decide to make one for Rachel. The movie revolves around the adventures of these three friends.

2) We Are Your Friends (sorry, this one didn't have a poster yet)

I found our about this movie through one of my favorite series called Catfish. One of the hosts (Max Joseph) didn't appear on the show for five episodes because he was shooting this film. The trailer went live either today or yesterday (I hear about it on his instagram, btw follow me on insta: @leticiadifiore) and I watched it and got super excited.

I don't know much about this movie because the trailer is very all over the place and it's very new, but what I do know is Zac Efron stars in it. Cole is an aspiring DJ's who is trying to make a living out of music, one day he meets a real DJ who believes in him and is willing to help. The movie is his journey around his world. It will be coming out late August of this year.

3) The Road Within

One of my favorite things to do when I'm bored is go on this "app" on the macbook called Front Row. It has a bunch of trailers of new movies that will be coming out soon. This is where I found this one.

The Road Within follows the life of a teenager with health issues (Tourette's syndrome) called Vincent. He gets sent to a psychiatric hospital to be taken care of, which is where he meets his friends Alex (which has OCD) and Marie (which is anorexic). They get along extremely well and start going on trips and adventures together, and this is all captured through this movie. The trailer reminded me a lot of the movie It's Kind of a Funny Story which I really enjoyed so I'm glad this one is coming out! It will also be out in June of this year.

Please keep in mind that all opinions are my one, and I'm not at all being sponsored.

My Favorite Teas

Hellooo :)

For the longest time I've been in love with tea. In the beginning I only wanted to drink it because it was something warm for the cold New Jersey winters, but now it's grown into so much more. I study in an extremely difficult school, it's one of the best in São Paulo, so the amount of work I have to do is insane. I remember during weeks where I would have a lot of tests (not necessarily finals) I would have absolutely no time to myself. So I made up a rule, every night I will make myself a cup of tea and and that will be my time. Time I will spend doing whatever I want (usually on youtube or social media). This rule has helped tremendously on stress, so I highly recommend it if your in a similar situation.

I can usually drink almost every tea but I decided to share three of my favorites.

1) Chamomile Tea

This is definitely my favorite type of tea. For me it is the simplest one and the freshest.

Benefits:
- Eases insomnia (night-time tea)
- Boosts your immune system because of all the antioxidants it contains
- Banishes menstrual cramps

Doesn't it look very light?

This tea mostly helps me relax the night before a big test, and get a good night sleep so I don't wake up feeling like a zombie! Since this is a tea that makes you want to sleep, I don't recommend drinking it in the morning. I get intense menstrual cramps, so this tea is definitely a necessity!

There are two versions of this tea: the actual flower and the packet. I personally prefer the flower, but of course if you can't find any, the packet is also great!

(the flowers have a different way of being prepared)

2) Earl Grey Tea (Bergamot)

This tea I discovered when going to London when I was like 7, I wanted to be very grown up so I ordered some tea with my parents! I ended up enjoying it very much, but completly forgot about it, until recently.

Benefits:
- Relaxes the body (stress reducer, and often used for aromatherapy)
- Eases a fever (this started in Italian folklore so most people believe in it)
- Helps with an upset tummy

:)

The last benefit is definetly true for me! Everytime I miss school because I'm not feeling well I always make myself a big cup of earl grey tea and it always helps.

I personally never found this tea in the flower form, so I use the packet.

(sorry the packaging is in portuguese!)

(sorry the packaging is in portuguese!)

3) Black Tea

This tea has been recently introduced to me by my parents who really enjoyed it. Every time I would ask them what tea they would like they would always say Black Tea. When I decided to try it, I loved it! It is a stronger flavored tea, extremely different from the previous ones, but great never-the-less!

Benefits:
- Decreases risk of cardiovascular dieses
- High is antioxidants (which helps with your immune system)
- Helps with your skin (wrinkles, and damages made by the sun)

a bit stronger right?

I have found this tea in the flower form and I highly reccomend it, but when I went to write this post I was all out! So here is the packet, which is also amazing.

Hello :)

Hey Guys,

My name is Leticia and I'm from Brazil. For a really long time I've been wanting to do something big, and for the past couple of monthes I've been thinking of the perfect way to approach it. After some long monthes of thinking really hard I decided that I need an outlet. I don't know where this blog is going and what I'm going to do with it, but i really needed some place to put my energy into.

I have no idea what kind of posts I'm going to blog about on here but I can garantee it will be something at least interesting. I love traveling, reading, watching movies, fashion, music, food, and a lot more which I believe I will be talking about on here. I absolutely love meeting new people and you should definitely talk to me if needed.

I've lived in the US so I would like to say my english is pretty good but some mistakes every once in a while is expected.

xx,
Leticia
