My Favorite Teas

Hellooo :)

For the longest time I've been in love with tea. In the beginning I only wanted to drink it because it was something warm for the cold New Jersey winters, but now it's grown into so much more. I study in an extremely difficult school, it's one of the best in São Paulo, so the amount of work I have to do is insane. I remember during weeks where I would have a lot of tests (not necessarily finals) I would have absolutely no time to myself. So I made up a rule, every night I will make myself a cup of tea and and that will be my time. Time I will spend doing whatever I want (usually on youtube or social media). This rule has helped tremendously on stress, so I highly recommend it if your in a similar situation.

I can usually drink almost every tea but I decided to share three of my favorites.

1) Chamomile Tea

This is definitely my favorite type of tea. For me it is the simplest one and the freshest.

Benefits:
- Eases insomnia (night-time tea)
- Boosts your immune system because of all the antioxidants it contains
- Banishes menstrual cramps

Doesn't it look very light?

This tea mostly helps me relax the night before a big test, and get a good night sleep so I don't wake up feeling like a zombie! Since this is a tea that makes you want to sleep, I don't recommend drinking it in the morning. I get intense menstrual cramps, so this tea is definitely a necessity!

There are two versions of this tea: the actual flower and the packet. I personally prefer the flower, but of course if you can't find any, the packet is also great!

(the flowers have a different way of being prepared)

2) Earl Grey Tea (Bergamot)

This tea I discovered when going to London when I was like 7, I wanted to be very grown up so I ordered some tea with my parents! I ended up enjoying it very much, but completly forgot about it, until recently.

Benefits:
- Relaxes the body (stress reducer, and often used for aromatherapy)
- Eases a fever (this started in Italian folklore so most people believe in it)
- Helps with an upset tummy

:)

The last benefit is definetly true for me! Everytime I miss school because I'm not feeling well I always make myself a big cup of earl grey tea and it always helps.

I personally never found this tea in the flower form, so I use the packet.

(sorry the packaging is in portuguese!)

3) Black Tea

This tea has been recently introduced to me by my parents who really enjoyed it. Every time I would ask them what tea they would like they would always say Black Tea. When I decided to try it, I loved it! It is a stronger flavored tea, extremely different from the previous ones, but great never-the-less!

Benefits:
- Decreases risk of cardiovascular dieses
- High is antioxidants (which helps with your immune system)
- Helps with your skin (wrinkles, and damages made by the sun)

a bit stronger right?

I have found this tea in the flower form and I highly reccomend it, but when I went to write this post I was all out! So here is the packet, which is also amazing.
